Subject: - Subscription of Books / Information Material for Information and Learning Center Khuzdar

Institute for development Studies and Practices (IDSP-Pakistan) is providing a learning space for the group of motivated individuals from various field of research and development. It is a space where this group shares, learns, promotes, practice and together try to create an environment where the process of development can be de-mystified and redefined. The courses offered by the institute are based on community-focused development, combining theory and practice, which ultimately contribute towards the project objectives and policy shifts towards just and equitable development processes.

Since its inception in 1998, IDSP is focusing on is Human Resource Development, by acquiring knowledge on the processes of development; it’s various dimensions and future perspectives. Connecting this knowledge base with today realities, creating an inner confidence and believe with in the masses of aim less youth, to address these issues with a development approach focused on the immediate communities and thus building partnership with all concerns in the process of community development and empowerment of community level.

In its endeavors IDSP is planning to initiate process projects in different field of development. These process projects will provide the practice basis for its learners as well as communities. Although IDSP’s mission is to de-mystify the current development paradigm, so these process projects will be also helpful to create alternatives to the current development paradigm. In this regard a process project on “Information and Learning Center in Balochistan” has been developed and going to be launched in the Khuzdar District, with the Support of INFAQ foundation and District Government Khuzdar. We are also establishing Information and Learning Center in Rural Areas of Balochistan, in which Professional Development Center (Computer Institute), Library and Internet access place, Community Hall and Area Profile Data Base will be provided for grass root level communities to overcome the Communication Gap between the Urban and Rural areas of Balochistan.

The Center is Khuzdar is established. The District Government has provided us the Government Building for this purposes, We are developing a Library in Information and Learning Center Khuzdar, in which we are placing books, Information Material, Journals, Magazines, as well as we are developing a Corners for our prominent figures like Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, Khushal Khan Khattak, Rahman Bab etc. Therefore we need book articles or publications material for ILC Khuzdar. IDSP Quetta Campus is already subscribed to your worthy publications, you are kindly requested to extend this subscribing to the Khuzdar Information and Learning Center as well.
