Science Labs, Art Labs, and Life Skills Areas
Life Skills areas represent the “Life” aspect of the four Thornburg learning modalities: Campfire, Watering Hole, Cave and Life.
It represents a logical coming together of the various other types of learning. Whereas science and art have strong disciplinary components to them, much of the application of science and art is multi-disciplinary. Spaces in which science and art are learned need to have the kind of richness that these disciplines themselves possess.
