Donation of land from the village to the county-owned college, donation of the building from the Fire Protection District to the college, and donation of $250,000 by the village to the college for the purchase of technology is the kind of partnership that characterizes the college’s relationships with its communities. It is win-win for both. For example, the college (with this architect) is now designing an applied health education facility by leasing unused space from a county-owned long term care facility. The college gets more “hot market” capacity; the county “unloads” responsibility for space.
