Major products utilized

The products specified in the construction of the project were selected in the sustainable environment philosophy in order to promote an environmentally responsible and healthy facility for learning, along the objectives that the College implements. The construction products selected were chosen with the following criteria : - high recycled contents for metal products like metal studs, door frames, aluminium components for windows and cealing suspensions. - High recycled components for flooring and ceiling tiles, and wood panelling, - Non toxic products for sealants, glazing products, glues, carpet products, all products were to be COV free. - Most of the existing millwork and metal shelving were re-used and re-conditioned, - Painting products were also COV free and lead free. We also specified products to create a high quality acoustical environment. Absorbing products with a high sound absorption factor were used to enhance the quiet atmosphere of a study facility.
