Commentary:
We achieved significant cost savings with the double roof. Conventional reinforced cement concrete roof slab costs around 4.85 dollars per square foot. Our double roof with ferrocement jack arch shells and corrugated tin roof translated to a cost of 1.38 dollars per square foot. We achieved cost savings with the rat trap brick bond which used brick quantity by 1/3rd. ' Cost- other' refers to the cost of a septic tank and a dirt road. We got wood from packing crates free off cost for pergolas.
