Traditional Classroom: Many "traditional classrooms" are arranged in the Discovery Island Boardwalk area on the first floor to provide quantifiable, predictable surroundings for the greatest number of school-age population now attending the church (the infant through early elementary age children). These more structured rooms provide for reliable accommodations for the group most likely to be attending.

Art, Music, Performance: All of the "theater" spaces within the building (Basement: Junior High / High School Worship space / First Floor: Several small theater-type classrooms and Second Floor: Two fully-equipped multi-function theaters) provide the opportunity to teach through acting, singing and other performance means. Spaces are designed to provide for acoustics, lighting and projected media as well as appropriate sight lines. This provides maximum opportunities for educators to give life to their lessons through theatrical means.

Furniture: Soft Seating: The large selection of varying furniture types in each age group area exhibits a desire to provide multiple posture opportunities for students. Soft loveseats and chairs, stacking "outdoor" type cafe chairs; sling type chairs as well as typical stack seating allow all sorts of definitions of comfort by multiple ages.

Flexible Spaces: Nearly all of the classroom, theater and other educational spaces within the education wing are designed to be flexible, allowing multiple uses by repositioning of furniture and use of operable partitions and moveable risers. The character of each space is relatively easy to transform within a reasonable time period. Designers paid special attention to many rooms by providing adjacent, convenient storage rooms for quick furniture changes, i.e., from Child to Adult scale furniture.

Campfire Space: Many of the larger Classrooms as well as the Theaters within all three levels embody the characteristics of the "Campfire Space" by providing elevated, acoustically reflective platforms from which to present. The storyteller's message is more directed with acoustic absorbing wall panels present in the larger theaters in the Underground and Discovery Island Theater District.

Cave Space: In the Underground space for Junior High and High School aged students, there are multiple small, semi-secluded Breakout Rooms used for peer counseling and other small group work. These rooms front a circulation corridor and feature glass doors and sidelights that provide acoustic separation without visual concealment. This is appropriate given the age groups using the spaces. Soft, modern furniture in bright colors enliven each space and allow students the flexibility to rearrange the space to suit themselves.

Small Learning Community: Dividing up the aggregate student body by age and by level, having Early Elementary on First, Upper Elementary on Second, and Junior/Senior High in the Basement, has allowed each group its own identity and set of spaces appropriate to the curriculum and each groups' own method of delivery. This is further broken down, especially on the Second Floor, by the separation of student groups as they leave the Theater spaces during breakout sessions. These upper elementary students visit multiple, varied surrounding classrooms to continue lessons and later reconvene in the larger theaters.

Learning Studio: Nearly all of the classroom environments at all three levels provide breakout areas and multiple "stations" for varying activity mixes within the same classroom. Learning zones result from the careful segregation of storage, teaching wall and seating areas.

Learning Suite: Several classrooms surrounding the Theaters on the Second Floor are divisible by an operable partition, providing ample opportunity for organizational flexibility and support varying class sizes and joint sessions.
