Commentary:
Even by Indian standards, this is an amazingly cost effective construction. The maximum saving happened by the use of recycled cladding materials and simple finishes. Leveraging the low labour costs in India, we experimented with labour intensive designs such as bends and warps and curtailed use of prefabricated and factory produced items. By making the building reliant on natural light and ventilation, we saved on capital expenses for equipment and long term maintenance costs.
