Commentary:
After bond issue for a second district high school failed, the public supported and passed a bond issue for the creation of an engineering technology center to be located on a district-owned site separate from Romeo High School. This judicious use of public funds relieved overcrowding at the existing high school, significantly upgraded the district’s career/technical programs, and created a flexible building that can be expanded into a second high school in the future.
