Introduction

“Educational Campus”: an innovative proposal for a brand new Campus: small scale (number of students), adapted to the Bologna 2010 European regulations (focused on personalized learning, ratio 25 students/faculty), committed to Nature involvement and preservation.

A challenge for an old University –- founded 1218 — which for the first time in 8 centuries moves out of the City, and wants strong new educational, urban and architectural ideas to face the future and build up its new physical image.

Through the Master Plan, the Campus wants to set up a modern educational space, strongly focused on indigenous Nature and environment as active elements in the curricula and University life, and addressed to interact with the adjacent City, promoting a deep cultural, educational and economical transformation of the social context.
